An awesome island : Ibiza

Do you want to enjoy a blue sky on a perfect beach ? Ibiza is a perfect location to relax. What can you see in Ibiza? On Ibiza the sea is your playground. All of the main resort beaches have a watersports centre for jet-skis, parasailing and water-skiing and other motorised fun. Stand-up paddling and kayaking are also on the menu here. At the port in Ibiza Town you could also charter a yacht: You can sail alone if you’ve got the experience or hire a boat with its own captain to take you anywhere you want to go around Ibiza’s craggy coast. You could also take your adventure beneath the waves. There are 17 diving schools on the island, and it’s a wonderful activity here as the water clarity is so high and there are all kinds of caves and underwater drop-offs to see.
The port city known as Ibiza Town is the largest and pretiest destination on the island. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Ibiza Town boasts a walled fortress as well as cobblestone streets. Locals call the city Eivissa. Ibiza Town is divided into sections: Dalt Vila and Eixample. Perched above the water, Dalt Vila, or Old Town, is the historic area filled with world-class restaurants and a great selection of bars. Below, you’ll find Eixample, or Extension, where most of the newer buildings can be found. While visiting, be sure to check out the Cathedral called Our Lady of the Snows, which offers perhaps the best views in the entire town.
Although essentially just a cafe, Croissant Show is a bit of an Ibiza institution. Yes, you come here to enjoy coffee and pastry, or breakfast, but really it’s all about the people watching, and the incredibly eccentric owner, Andres. It is Andres, with his Dali-esque moustache and his incredibly friendly and extravagant nature that put the show into this place. Sit outside and watch as clubbers stop in for a post-party breakfast on their way home, world-famous DJs linger over cafe con leche, and Andres chats and mingles with locals, celebrities and anyone he fancies a chat with. There are no rules in this cafe as to what time constitutes breakfast, making it popular with those who’ve had a heavy night and need a long lie.
Ibiza is known for having a super chill, bohemian style. It also has a few crafty markets that occur on a weekly basis, known as the hippy markets. The one in Es Canar usually happens every Wednesday, while the one in San Carlos happens on Saturday’s. You’ll find countless stalls of handcrafted jewellery, clothes and souvenirs. It’s a colourful and lively atmosphere filled with live music and street food. So go on, shop for something other than a shirt that says “I’d rather be in Ibiza”. Maybe buy something for your fam that proves you weren’t partying 100% of the time (just 97%).
Whether you’re searching for the perfect place to relax on the beach, or to live it up with vibrant nightlife and cool cocktail bars, the vibrant harbour town of Es Cana has it all. The beautiful bay, lined with stunning green pines, is the perfect backdrop to chilled evenings spent sipping cocktails from one of the many bustling bars and restaurants just metres from the Mediterranean shore.
